The Light of Day

The shadow falls from far away,

As sunlight floods the hill.

The midday heat is yet to come,

As sundials do not still.

When the day begins to age,

The flowers are unfurled,

The beauty of their petals

Illuminate the world.

In completed majesty,

The meadow is a wonder,

The sunflowers are perfection,

All fear is cast asunder.

The flowers know the truth,

That the sun will reach its zenith,

All they need is patience,

For true happiness to replenish.
